The Central City Citizen, or simply The CC Citizen[1], is a newspaper publisher founded, owned and ran by Iris West-Allen.
History[]
Iris West-Allen created the newspaper.[2] At some point, it moved to the Bentley Building, where the logo was added to its entrance.
At some point, a front page article was written called "Flash and XS defeat Cicada"; Joe West keeps a copy of this in his office.[3]
Joseph Carver planned to sue the newspaper for defamation when Iris planned to release an article connecting McCulloch Technologies with the assassin guild called Black Hole after Dr. Light failed to kill Iris in the newspaper's office because the shooter was sensed by Cecile Horton.[2]
When the mirror duplicates replaced their counterparts, the newspaper was used as their front in order to gain items necessary to Eva McCulloch. Mirror Iris and Mirror Kamilla went to Mercury Labs as a reporter and a photgrapher, respectively, saying that they wanted to interview Tina McGee for the newspaper; they were truly interested in obtaining the prismatic refractor.[3]
Weeks later, Mirror David Singh took them to an A.R.G.U.S. facility, claiming that they wanted to interview Ramsey Rosso. They actually wanted a blood sample.[4]
Upon being told of their deception, Allegra went to the office to see if there were any clues left behind which could be used to free her friends from the Mirrorverse. Later, before her conversation was interrupted by Godspeed, Allegra, doubting her skills as a reporter, wondered if she was in charge of the newspaper.[5]
After the Flash disarmed a bomb on an aircraft belonging to Black Hole, saving Central City and the pilots, Allegra writes an article for the newspaper.[6]
Allegra edited an article for Iris about the Mirrorverse and found it lacking, because Iris was withholding her own experiences within the dimension. After going to a support group's meeting, Iris wrote a better article.[7]
Mark Blaine jokes that he will call the Citizen because Frost likes his bartending.[8]
Allegra used her status as a reporter for the newspaper to distract Kristen Kramer while Caitlin Snow sabotaged the meta-human cure that was stored in CCPD headquarters.[9]
Kamilla later left the Citizen in order to move to Miami.[10]
