Synopsis

Trivia
- This is the first episode of the series to not feature Juliana Harkavy (Dinah Drake) after being promoted to a series regular.
- The episode's original title, "Enter the Dragon",[1] references the Bruce Lee film of the same name.
- Stephen Amell compared his involvement with this episode to McNulty from The Wire where the character made little to no appearances throughout the fourth season.[2]
- This episode has the largest number of absent main cast members in the entire series, as David Ramsey, Rick Gonzalez, Juliana Harkavy, and Paul Blackthorne are absent. Only Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, Echo Kellum, and Katie Cassidy appear.
- The bar that Diaz meets Eric Cartier is called Hogan's Alley Bar. Hogan's Alley is a historical district in Vancouver. A largely Afro-Canadian area, it is most famously where a young Jimi Hendrix played at his grandparents' restaurant.
- Diaz and Laurel go to visit Cartier in Blüdhaven, which in the comics was the city Dick Grayson protected as Nightwing.
Goofs
- Diaz mentions having grown up in an orphanage, with flashbacks set 32 years earlier in 1986. In the United States, orphanages had been completely replaced with the foster care system by the early 1970s.
- Laurel asks Diaz, "Well, if they're so powerful, then why didn't you come with any backup?" Diaz answers, "I'm not. I've got you." This makes no sense when compared to what Laurel asked. Diaz should have replied, "I did. I've got you."
- Before Diaz and Laurel enter Villa Centanni, Diaz cocks his pistol. He then cocks it again after entering.
