Trivia
- Cisco quips that Thawne has "Linda Blair'd" Nash, referencing the actor's role as the possessed child Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist films.
- Cisco relates multiple psyches in a single brain as "Tyler Durden times 1000", referencing the split personality of the protagonist of Fight Club and its film adaptation. Nash overhears and goes to quote Fight Club, but is cut off.
- Cisco likens Thawne's formlessness to Voldemort from the Harry Potter franchise.
- Success is Assured and Liberation were mentioned in the episode. These are episode titles of upcoming episodes of the season.
- Barry's speed force lightning briefly turned blue after he took the Velocity X drug.
- Sunshine killing the police officers except Joe West and David Singh is quite similar to what Zoom did in the Season 2 episode Rupture in which he killed all of the police officers and a news cameraman except for Joe and David Singh at CC Jitters for the sake of his affections for Caitlin Snow.
- Thawne disappearing out of Nash's mind is quite similar to when he gets erased from existence in which in each instances he disappeared in different colors of light. First in the season one finale Fast Enough he disappeared in a blue light and in the Legends of Tomorrow season 2 finale Aruba where he vanished in an orange light and third in this episode in a red light.
