The Flash: The Haunting of Barry Allen is a tie-in novel written by Susan and Clay Griffith. It was released on November 29, 2016 and leads into a second novel, Arrow: A Generation of Vipers. Based on the TV series, it focuses on Barry and Oliver dealing with five members of Barry's Rogues Gallery.
FIRST ORIGINAL NOVEL BASED ON THE HIT WARNER BROS. TV SHOW, THE FLASH - CROSSING OVER WITH A NEW NOVEL OF ARROW
Speeding through Central City, Barry Allen is met with a startling sight—the Flash, older, battered, and badly injured. Before he can speak, the doppelgänger is gone.
Then Barry begins experiencing glitches in his powers—moments that leave him ghostly and immobile in the middle of missions. When a group of his enemies—including Pied Piper, Weather Wizard, and Peekaboo—chooses this time to launch a new assault, the Flash seeks help from his most trusted ally. Oliver Queen – the Arrow.
Based on characters from DC Comics, The Flash is an American television series airing its second season on The CW and distributed around the world by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. Following the supercharged, crime-fighting super hero with the power to move at superhuman speeds, this first Flash adventure pits the Scarlet Speedster against the villains who comprise his metahuman Rogues Gallery. But when The Flash's own abilities begin to fail him, he must seek help from his closest ally - The Arrow. This two part adventure will cross directly into the next Arrow novel.
- This book takes place before "" as Hartley is still evil but after "", since Barry has already confronted Zoom at least once.
- Since many of these events don't add up with the show's canon, it's possible these events happened before Flashpoint.
