Changes: The Flash (The CW)

The Flash^[1] is an upcoming television series spin-off of Arrow.

Originally, the twentieth episode of Arrow's second season was going to act as a backdoor pilot, and should it be popular enough the series would be greenlit.^[2] However, after CW executives saw "The Scientist" and "Three Ghosts", Barry's premiere episodes on Arrow, they made the call to order the series straight to pilot.^[3]

Grant Gustin will portray Dr. Barry Allen/The Flash in the eponymous lead role.^[4] The series will be written by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns.^[2]

Premise

In the pilot, Barry Allen is expected to become a superhero named The Flash, and the series will feature The Flash as a superhero in Central City.^[2]
