Synopsis

As Barry’s trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe begins, Iris and Joe must decide how far they are willing to go to keep Barry out of prison.[1]

Trivia

  • The title is a reference to the comic book storyline of the same name.
  • Barry Allen rambling from "The Flash Reborn" came to light through the repeating of the words "I'm innocent, your honor; I didn't kill anyone" it is highly possible Barry experienced his trial and jail sentence whilst in the Speed Force Prison.
  • Team Flash is now investigating every quote Barry Allen made when he came out of the Speed Force, as they would possible to linked to future events.
  • The sentence of Barry Allen, is that of a life sentence without the possibility of parole. This is significantly similar to his father's sentence for the supposed murder of Nora Allen.
  • This episode is that first incidence that Iris was able to talk to Barry whilst moving faster than the human capability causing the room to be seen as frozen. It is unknown ability demonstrated by Barry.
  • Unlike his comic counterpart, Barry is not immune to DeVoe's telepathy.
  • The last scene shows Barry placed into a cell, which it is noticed on the wall it has a carving with the words "HENRY ALLEN WAS HERE" showing that they had placed either unknowingly or knowingly placed Barry in his father's cell.
