"The Trial of the Trickster" is the twenty-second and final episode of The Flash. It aired on May 18, 1991.

Synopsis

While awaiting trial for murder, a man known as the Trickster is rescued by a beautiful sociopath. Determined to get revenge on the Flash who helped apprehend him, the Trickster kidnaps the Flash and tries to brainwash him into subservience.

Trivia

• This episode, along with "The Trickster", was aired following the cancellation of The Flash​​ as the TV movie, The Flash II: Revenge of the Trickster​​.
• The fact that Prank used laughing gas to help James escape is a reference to the fact that the DC character the Joker used laughing gas to kill people. The Joker is also a character Mark Hamill is known to voice.
• Jesse mentioned Metropolis which is the home of the superhero Superman.
