Realizing another brilliant Wells could help track Griffin's location, Barry asks Jesse to help. Meanwhile, Wally corners Joe about The Flash.

    • Good episode. That ending though.

    • Latest episode has it all. Killer Frost getting killed, the whiniest Character in all the Arrowverse (and that's saying a lot), Zoom expanding his domain to everyone (Zoom VS Supergirl? I know it won't happen... BUT A MAN CAN DREAM!), Jesses back, and a new particle accelerator.

      Did I miss anything?

    • great episode. I miss some parts on the episode. I hate TV commercials so much. looks like barry will get his speed back in the next episode.

    • WOW, that surprised me. That has to be my favorite filler episode yet. I cannot wait for next episode, there is SO much they can do with another particle accelerator. Perhaps Wally can even hop in and join in on the dark matter fun? Jesse maybe, too?

Incoming 'Everyone is now a speedster' meme.

Somehow... Barry will still be the slowest speedster.

    • I don't think the Speed Force can go to just anyone. They need to be chosen or have access to the Velocity drug.

Also, how are we sure Griffin Grey is dead? He could've just exerted himself to the point of incapacitation and then revert back to his young self as a consequence. If he is deceased, he at least got to regress back to his actual age.

    • I thought they would end the episode with the experiment rather than just talking about it. So I guess Laurel's funeral is also going to be towards the end of today's Arrow episode and barry's entrance with his speed restored is going to be next week.

    • Jesse Quick and Wally West.

Well the Flash always had a family of speedsters.

Maybe Wells will be the Man in Yellow again.. maybe not.

You think they could make a particle accelerator gun?  A gun that blasts you with the particle accelerator explosion?  Just kidding.

    • I was thinking that Wally will probably become a speedster as well once I heard of Harry's plan to build another particle accelerator. Jesse becoming a speedster works too, especially for Earth-2 since they are so tormented by Zoom.

    • Most likely. Only flaw in this plan is the idea that more metas will appear.

No problem with that! Beside the Wally and Jesse possibility, we still have quite a few rogue appearances we haven't seen yet.

How is that a flaw? Seems like the best possible end result of this plan.

(Aside from the probable mountain of villains that will appear)

It also seems based on the trailer that the term "explosion" isn't quite accurate, and they seem to only be sort of replicating it and channeling the power into Barry.

    • I mean as in flaw, of course more bad guys. Superhero law requires that 95% of all people who get superpowers from a strange event are evil.

    • What if the accelerator mk 2 gives someone else speed (like Jesse or wally) and wells and barry have to spend the whole episode convincing them to give their speed to Barry?

Also the notion of E-2 Wells gaining the neg speed force like Eobard would be a dream come true as the man in the yellow suit would return but as an ally!! so awesome if it does happen :)

If looking at it seriously it could mean the two (presumably) partners merge into a single being and maybe have gender-transformation powers or sex-hormone powers with the drawback of two personalities in one body.

I would vote for hormone or pheromone generation where they can both manipulate the opposite sex via over stimulating the pleasure centres of anothers brain but not in each other.

Dude are you f**kin serious, of course Rupture has powers. He is the brother of Cisco Ramon. He might be weaker, which is why he is using a staff and visor but don't dare say he doesn't have powers!

    • Gee sorry! I don't recall seeing any other suggestions. I was just going off of the limited information and I honestly think it'd be nice to have an E2 villain not based on powers.

    • These days, villains with powers are the more dangerous than those without powers.

Indeed but that doesn't mean the villain can't fit the situation.

Also I looked Rupture up, or rather Armando Ramone and found on New Earth he has shockwave/vibration abilities like his brother except there he's a hero. On Prime Earth he's a villain but there's little information on him on DC Wiki, it does however list weaponry under his abilities so perhaps powerless and that's the one coming on the show. I'm not sure.

While he was absorbing it yes, but when Zoom ran at high speeds again it was Blue.

The blue lightning seems to be a permanent change to his speed lightning's color, even when cured.

    • For all we know taking barry's speed is just a temporary fix, his cells could have degenerated beyond repair at this point.

    • Considering that Harrison 2 and Zoom both have said this will cure his sickness I doubt it.

I think that may be accurate. Wally will get his speed eventually- they keep hinting at it- it's just a matter of when. This is the perfect oppurtunity. I was thinking they would show him getting his speed at the end of the season 2 finale, so the audience is left in suspense but the synopsis for Invincible reads:

After Zoom (guest star Teddy Sears) unleashes an army of Earth-2 meta-humans on Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) is shaken when he sees their leader is the Black Canary’s Earth-2 doppelganger, the Black Siren (guest star Katie Cassidy). Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) takes to the streets to help The Flash stop the meta-humans, which worries Joe (Jesse L. Martin). Iris (Candice Patton) and Henry (guest star John Wesley Shipp) are concerned about Barry taking on Zoom.

The bit about Wally helping the Flash stop the meta-humans implies that Wally is either super brave and or is a speedster at this point.

I love how the comment section turned from an interesting discussion about the episode Back to Normal into a discussion about spirit animals and sex metahumans. Also Cisco is Barry's spirit animal we already know that.

I saw a theory recently that the Man in the Iron Mask is Max Mercury. I doubt that, but it would be cool to see him join the Arrowverse. I'm still waiting on the Arrowverse to tackle Mirror Master, Cicada, Abra Kadabra, Fiddler, Replicant, and Savitar.

My spirit animal is the manatee even though it has no relevance to the conversation.

    • I feel that though Barry was now normal it was still a regular episode of the Flash. Sure he'll zip around in a few scenes but the episode only made me realise that there is a slight lack of action in the show despite Barry having powers, whether or not that's to fit all the drama in.

I did however love Wally's performance in the episode. I really hope he dons a suit and powers in the nearby future.
