The five great Zambesi tribes presented with mystical totems

The five great Zambesi tribes presented with mystical totems

Hundreds of years ago, the five tribes of Zambesi were under attack. They prayed to the gods for help and their prayers were answered. Each tribe was given a totem to protect it, each with a different elemental power to aid in the defense of the tribes. A sixth totem exists that is important to Mallus as a weakness or necessity to his plans.

List of Totems

  • Anansi Totem: This Totem allows the user to summon the ashe (or spirit) of any animal that's ever lived and take on the abilities of the summoned animal. Damien Darhk recently stole it from Amaya Jiwe; the twentieth century version of the hero Vixen. In the twenty-first century, it’s in the possession of Mari McCabe; Amaya's granddaughter.
  • Air Totem: This Totem allows the user to generate and manipulate wind. It is currently in the possession of Zari Tomaz.
  • Water Totem: This Totem allows the user to control and create water. It was incinerated along with Kuasa's body when she died and is the only Totem that has been completely destroyed. However, on her resurrection, it appears that the Totem's powers have bonded with Kuasa, allowing her to use the Totem's powers without wearing the Totem itself, although the reason for this may be that Mallus enhanced the powers she'd had when she died, so that she could use them without a Totem, as was the case after Damien Darhk was resurrected.
  • Fire Totem: This Totem allows the user to create and control fire. It is currently in the Legends' possession.
  • Earth Totem: This Totem allows the user to control the earth. It is currently in the Legends' possession.
  • Unknown Totem: According to Mallus, a sixth Totem exists, but its origins, powers, and whereabouts are currently unknown.
