Tyler met Sophie Moore at some time and fell in love with her, but was unaware that Sophie was bisexual as she never told him. They eventually married at some point in 2015, and Tyler was well-respected by his mother-in-law, Diane who praised the fact that he was decorated and never forgotten her birthday; despite this, however, Tyler recognized the fact that Diane was a very hard woman.After she was kidnapped by Alice and her gang, and subsequently saved, Tyler came to check up on her, meeting Kate Kane in the process.
During the Anti-Monitor Crisis, Tyler as well as everyone in the multiverse except for the seven Paragons, was killed in an antimatter wave by the Anti-Monitor on December 10, 2019, only to be restored a month later, after the Paragons and the Spectre created a new universe.
Sophie is still separated from him which prompts her mom to visit and express disappointment at her daughter's marriage ending. It's possible he left the Crows after his separation.
Tyler openly expressed love for his wife Sophie and was friendly towards others, including individuals who were acquainted with Sophie. However, after Sophie revealed her sexuality and past relationship with Kate Kane, Tyler was upset at Sophie for not informing him earlier on; causing their marriage and relationship to slowly fall apart.
