The United States of America (USA), commonly referred to as the United States (US) or America, is a country located in the Northern Hemisphere. During the times of the Civil War, it was referred to as The Union, with its southern separatists calling themselves the Confederacy.

Overview

The United States is one of the great powers on Earth-1, a nation possessing nuclear weaponry, along with Markovia, Corto Maltese and USA's own NATO allies. A.R.G.U.S., a secret service in the United States, specifically created Rubicon for its ability to control all of the world's nuclear weaponry, seeing it as one of the greatest assets that influences the politics of the world.

The United States Army was a powerful force on the world arena, and also had interests of its own, connected to the Alpha-Omega bioweapon and the rise of meta-humans.

The United States was home to a number of vigilantes and superheroes, such as The Flash, The Atom, Vixen and Green Arrow, along with teams of their own. It was also a base of operations for the meta-human and enhanced criminals like the Reverse-Flash and Deathstroke, as well as powerful terrorist organizations like H.I.V.E. and Shadowspire.
