| "The multiverse has a way of aligning fates...It's written in the stars and in this book, or I wouldn't know that on this Earth, Clark Kent is Superman. Where I come from, that would be ridiculous. He can't see past his glasses." This article is about the location set in the Smallville universe. This article only contains information relevant to the Arrowverse. Lex Luthor is the incumbent president of the United States as of 2019/during the Anti-Monitor Crisis. He is an old nemesis of Clark Kent and used to criticize the latter for not relishing his superpowers.[1]
The city of Metropolis, located in the state of Kansas near the small town of Smallville.
Superman was once based in Metropolis until his retirement from vigilantism.[1] Clark then moved to Smallville, living with his wife Lois Lane and their daughters at the family farm. At some point, after moving out of Metropolis, Clark Kent and Lois Lane began living in Smallville with their daughters. [1]
In 2019 during the Anti-Monitor Crisis, while chopping wood at the Kent Farm, Clark was visited by the Clark Kent and Lois Lane of Earth-38 and Iris West-Allen of Earth-1. The visitors attempted to enlist his help in stopping the Anti-Monitor, but the Lex Luthor of Earth-38 appeared shortly after and teleported them away. Lex then confronted Clark, attempting to kill him with green Kryptonite. However, Clark was not affected by the kryptonite, leading Lex to realize that the former had given up his powers. Angry that Clark would give up such powers for a [mundane] family life, Lex tried to physically attack Clark, but was easily taken down by a punch from the depowered Clark. Disappointed at the denial of satisfaction, Lex disappeared into a breach portal after taunting Clark with the coming destruction of the anti-matter wave.[1]
