"The multiverse has a way of aligning fates...It's written in the stars and in this book, or I wouldn't know that on this Earth, Clark Kent is Superman. Where I come from, that would be ridiculous. He can't see past his glasses."

History[]

Prior to the Anti-Monitor Crisis, Batman confronted and captured the Joker in Gotham City.[1] Slow sales for the quarter were predicted, and currencies suffered amid uncertainty; while a bond sell off continued & the U.S. economy fluctuated due to recent financial freedom. Peace talks also broke down, and an environmental summit also sparked a debate over cuts at a power plant.

Anti-Monitor Crisis[]

During the Anti-Monitor Crisis, Alexander Knox watched the skies of Gotham City in the USA turn red; the bat-signal lit up, before an anti-matter wave hit Earth-89, destroying the city along with the country.[1]

After a new multiverse was created by the Paragons and the Spectre, Gotham City in the USA, alongside Earth-89, was restored.[2]
