Biography[]
Being taken by the government[]
At some point, the Morae and two others were found as children by the government. Amazed by the Morae's cloaking abilities, they took them and turned them into weapons as part of Project Morae, initially led by Alfonso Tran and Lauren Haley, and later by Randall McAllister. According to Tran, their team had a 100% success rate.[1]
A few years later, the President sent down the order to cut ties with all alien personnel, and so Tran gave McAllister, the then-leader, the order to neutralize them. They were invited to a cargo ship which had a bomb aboard, but the Morae quickly realized it was an ambush. They fought back, killed McAllister and the SEAL team on the ship, and escaped with the body of McAllister.[1]

After their escape, this unnamed Morae and another one tried to assassinate Alfonso Tran at his house when Supergirl, J'onn J'onzz and Alex Danvers were there questioning him. While the second Morae successfully killed Tran as the man escaped from the scene in his car, this unnamed Morae was shot down and captured by Supergirl and Alex after a short fight. As it was injured, its cloaking disappeared and was visible for the two to see. Seeing it like that, Supergirl tried to assure it that they mean no harm, telling it that she is an alien herself in a situation where she worked for the government and they turned on her too, but that it shouldn't hurt people. Once Alex mentioned bringing it back to the D.E.O., the unnamed Morae killed itself after saying that it didn't want to be sent back to Haley.[1]

- Invisibility: The individual had the ability to turn itself completely invisible to the naked eye. To those with X-ray vision, the Morae would appear as a shimmer of light, but only occasionally.[1]
