Ok I think I can safely say that Arrow isn't getting any better. I haven't seen the newest episode since I still haven't watched any season 6 episodes aside from 6x01 or the crossover but I heard 6x09 got a 4.6/10 from IGN and I've seen numerous people on this site and the Arrow-reddit complaining about it. It really is a shame as it was a good program and does have good characters and actors who keep getting sidelined for more romance bullshit, mainly Quentin, Thea, Rene, E2-Laurel and Nyssa. However I think they should find a way to preserve at least some of these characters for when the show gets cancelled which I think is very likely at this point. They should move them into a new spin-off and call it Birds of Prey. I know the Birds of Prey is traditionally comprised of Black Canary, Huntress and Oracle but given that each one has been killed (Laurel), forgotten (Helena) and ripped off (Felicity) they’d need to improvise. I even have an idea of how it could be done.
Quentin could move to Bludhaven for whatever reason and becomes police captain there and discovers the city is just as corrupt as Starling City and decides it needs a team of heroes to protect it and seeks out a somewhat reformed E2-Laurel, Thea, Rene and Nyssa who have also left Starling City on soul searching trips and they agree to be Bludhaven's new defenders. To cover the tech angle they'd also recruit Naomi Singh (one of Oliver’s tech-sidekicks in the comics who would probably be related to David Singh if adapted into the Arrowverse). While Quentin would play a parental role to the team E2-Laurel would be the one primarily leading it as she is a capable leader and veteran criminal, making her the best person to lead a fight against organised crime. E2-Laurel and Thea would grow closer as E1-Laurel and Thea were basically best friends, Rene would have a running gag of being noted as the one guy in a girls team who’d frequently but heads with them. I suppose if CW needs to do romance they could have something between Rene and Thea or they could have Nyssa and E2-Laurel be a thing as I've read that the episode "Reversal" hints that E2-Laurel may be bisexual.
Other possible members or guest characters could include Roy, Vixen (Mari McCabe), Katana, Gyspy and Hawkgirl. They could also reintroduce Sin as I kinda liked her friendships with Sara and Thea plus Black Canary is traditionally he adoptive mother so they could pay respect to this and have E2-Laurel form a bond with her. Villains could include Malcolm (if he’s still alive) Talia al Ghul, China White, Cupid, Clock King, Cheshire, Lady Shiva, Count Vertigo and maybe even some Flash villains like Doctor Light and Weather Wizard. So yea that's about it. So tell me what you think is this a good idea or not. Either way I just hope at least some of these characters are preserved from Arrow's cancellation which I'm pretty sure is coming.
