So I’ve been out of touch with the Arrowverse shows recently frankly because I’m sick of the melodrama but I know the Elseworlds crossover ended with a hint towards an adaptation of the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, which apparently will be the next crossover in 2019 and I’m wondering if the shows actually are going to end next year.
This has been hinted towards for years, but it doesn't mean it will happen in 2024.
Flash has been hinting towards a crisis since the show began, which has been implied to be the Crisis on Infinite Earths event before, where Barry apparently vanishes in a conflict with Reverse-Flash and several other heroes and Barry Allen is one of the most significant casualties of the Crisis on Infinite Earths event. Arrow has also been giving some series finale vibes too with the flash-forwards to 2038 where Oliver’s gone and Felicity is dead (about f***ing time), Oliver’s identity is public which will limit his ability to be a vigilante and in real life Stephen Amell’s contract ends in 2019. I haven’t even started Supergirl yet so I don’t know if there are any hints of series finale but it’s worth noting that Supergirl is also one of the casualties in Crisis on Infinite Earths. So between this I’m sensing an Arrowverse finale on the horizon.

I think Nora's affiliation with Eobard will somehow lead to him escaping 2049 and somehow causing the crisis in 2019 instead.
I know the crisis happens in 2024 but we’ve seen that time isn’t set (hell the entire Arrowverse is an alternate timeline created by Thawne killing Barry’s mother) and the newspaper itself has changed over time. In 1x06 it changed into an article about the post-office closing with no record of Barry Allen, season 3 Iris didn’t write it because Savitar kills her and the participants of the crisis have also changed which now include Elongated Man and Batwoman yet not Hawkgirl. We’ve also seen that Nora’s very presence has already altered the timeline quite significantly and she is working with Eobard Thawne who is involved in the crisis and we don’t know from which point in time he’s from, he could’ve gone straight from 2018 after Earth-X and got stuck in 2049 and has yet to return to the present (which explains why he hasn’t returned to ruin Barry’s life since season 4). My theory is that somehow Eobard is going to escape prison from 2049 and using information Nora’s given him will go back to 2019 and make the crisis happen 5 years ahead of schedule. We’ve seen him recruit teams of supervillains to conquer the world for his own amusement and to spite Barry before so why not the freaking Anti-Monitor lol?
Personally I think it’s time for the shows to end because they have been on steady decline for years now, ratings are at an all time low and there’s a lot of negativity for not entirely unjustified reasons.
