I can't tell if this happening was good or bad.
So its getting near the end of this year's shows and this week Flash introduced an Earth-X Laurel Lance but I have a few mixed feelings about that. On one hand I always love seeing any Laurel in Flash since she's so much better over there but this is the second evil Laurel to be introduced and its starting to get a little old and feels like they're taking personal jabs at Katie Cassidy. On one hand she was the only main cast member absent during the crossover when there really wasn't any reason for her to be. I can see why E2-Laurel couldn't be involved but there was no excuse to leave out an EX-Laurel considering we met EX-Quentin and EX-Tommy so I'm wondering if EX-Laurel is Flash picking up Arrow's slack again which also has me wondering about E2-Laurel's fate and why EX-Laurel ties into this.
They've preserved Laurel once before so what if they're trying it again?
I've said before I'm like 90% sure E2-Laurel's existence was in anticipation of the backlash to E1-Laurel dying since she was introduced literally a month after she died (and behind the scenes they would've known several weeks in advance) and I was fully expecting E2-Laurel to die in her debut yet she didn't. Now look 2 years and fan complaints later and she was brought back despite all the E1-Laurel closure stories and Dinah Drake (who I still hate by the way). Also while it's kinda being half-assed done it does kinda look like E2-Laurel might be redeeming this season but personally I've been hoping her future is with Legends since Arrow clearly doesn't care about Laurel and her return was probably forced upon them to calm down the pissed off fans. Only if Felicity died, Dinah, Curtis and Rene all died/left and if Roy returned would I be even willing to reconsider watching Arrow again but none of those are likely to happen.
This makes twice this has happened and the first time had its reasons.
With that in mind while it would be foolish to kill off E2-Laurel they've done it before so perhaps that is E2-Laurel's fate and I'm starting to wonder if Flash introduced EX-Laurel as yet another "back up" plan for the Laurel Lance character in anticipation of this? The main reasons are the fact that she, again, didn't get killed off and you'd think DeVoe would be a little pissed that she jepordized his plan and they imprisoned her on Earth-1 rather than Earth-X. Now before anybody asks no I'm not going to start hoping the E2-Laurel redemption theories start happening with EX-Laurel instead because she's a Nazi and they're pretty much the worst thing to have ever happened to this world. That said it is kinda strange they'd keep EX-Laurel around on Earth-1 just like they did with E2-Laurel so clearly there is some kinda plan for her and I'm hoping it's either just to fit into DeVoe's plan or she'll be a Legends villain.

I admit the subject of Laurel makes me very anxious so I may be overthinking all of this.
So yea maybe I'm overthinking this but when it comes to the treatment of Laurel Lance these shows always get me worked up over how they treat her and I'm starting to wonder if history is about to repeat itself and Flash is once again picking up the slack from Arrow's incompetence.
