For the recent episodes after the one called Brothers in Arms, i have realized Arrow seems to wish to go back to the beginning. Oliver, just him, saving the city alone. Now i have some problems with them solving their problems in this way that i will discuss.
So for starters, lets do a headcount. We got all the new members gone. Wild Dog, Mr. Terrific, and Black Canary are now on their own team called the Outsiders. (Not to be confused by the Outsiders with Black Lightning on it) Leaving it to the original Team Arrow. Spartan, Overwatch, and finally the Green Arrow. (Sometimes with Alena, but she just comes and goes) Now John left due to him not believing in Oliver's mission, and Felicity was kicked off by his own personal need to find himself. So Oliver got to the point he has been at during the first season. Only difference is that a new spinoff team is out there. Why is this a problem for me? Well i will tell you.
Stephen Amell, the man playing Green Arrow is soon to stop. His contract ends by 2019. So next season is his last time in that hood. Him hitting the restart button on everything he built is not a way to end the show. You have all that progression just falling flat and for him to bring himself back to the Team he had by Season 3 in one season and it is the last one. It is too late to do this, but they still are. And i hear you probably are asking "How are they bringing back Arsenal and Black Canary if thing are returning to the basics?" Well it is getting ever more clear now that they seem to be attempting to redeem all the millions of murders committed by the Laurel Lance of E-2. Essentially making it so it is like her death never happened. Roy is also coming back as a series regular so that answers that. The team is coming back to its previous state and things are not really changing going forward. Which is bad. Point is i want them to do something that surprises me when they bring back the old team. Maybe give them a new dynamic. Other new characters coming along and clashing with the old ones. Just something to make Season 7 not like something we have seen before.
