So I have a theory here on how our Arrowverse explanation that there are indeed multiple hells could potentially be wrong. At least depending on how Season 5 of Lucifer goes down.
So for starters, let me try to analyze why both the multiple hells explanation and the one hell for the whole multiverse angle doesn't work. Then offering my third insight.
Let us start with why the multiple hells thing doesn't work as a way to write it off. Frankly the reason that doesn't work is because if there truly was multiple hells, why would the Fates have the power to spread the Loom across the multiverse? Why didn't John call on Lucifer to help him rescue Astra from his Earth's hell? It raises too many questions there. While on the other hand, it all being one hell is contradicted by a lot of the show's events. Both shows. Constantine and Legends tells of the Triumvirate and the First of the Fallen, and yet right off the bat towards the end of the first season, Lucifer confirms he's the only ruler and later seasons certainly confirmed his claims that he's the only one in the position and the only one that could. Not only that, but we see Satan himself in Legends. Guess that's it then? Lucifer is just a slightly unconfirmed elseworld with a whole different hell? Well, not exactly. I'll explain.
See this upcoming season is about to introduce his brother Michael, his identical brother. With wings exactly like the First of the Fallen. Comparing them to both versions of Lucifer's wings which do not look like that in the series. I find it way too much of a coincidence. My theory is that at the end of Lucifer's big victory, he curses Michael with having to rule hell in his place and with a new face so he can't play the same trick that he is currently doing in Season 5. And because it's hell and apparently the same place across all of time as shown in an episode of Season 4 of Legends, it would clear up the errors. The First of the Fallen can exist while Lucifer inhabits Earth-666. So both Earth-1/Prime has the same hell as Earth-666 with no errors at that point.
