Welcome

Hi, welcome to Arrowverse Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Nyssa al Ghul page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! MakeShift (talk) 11:12, May 18, 2014 (UTC)

RE:

You're right. I undeed my action. LIGHTNING HAWK (talk) 23:57, May 18, 2014 (UTC)

RE:

It makes no sense. You can rewrite that information, but if you don't, it won't be on that page. LIGHTNING HAWK (talk) 07:26, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

You should revise your edits before publishing them, or else you'll be doing several unnessesary edits to same article. LIGHTNING HAWK (talk) 07:31, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

I think it's unnecessary to put that statment in the article. If you want to undo my action go ahead.

LIGHTNING HAWK (talk) 10:49, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Categories

I feel like categories like that are slightly unnecessary, and can potentially get quite muddled up in the process, so that's a no at the moment. —MakeShift (talk) 08:18, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Verdant

The trivia for the page is to do with the show, or the DC Universe. Trivia about colors etc. as you had are unnecessary. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 14:27, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

It still isn't plot relevant to the series, and it doens't matter, Verdant is now closed down. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 15:25, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

RE

I know those stuff, but what you put was specualtion....Also note that this is a tv series, they are not affiliated with the comics so they won't exactly do similar thingsTime Shade " First things first, but not necessarily in that order." - The Fourth Doctor 21:58, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Explosives

It's still Marvel Comics, so it's irrelevant. And also, you can't know if Arrow is the original, you didn't see them writing the scripts. PS: stop adding information related to Marvel unless is strictly necessary.

LIGHTNING HAWK (talk) 22:42, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

Apologies Accepted

I accept your appologies. I understand what you're trying to do with the small articles, your intention is good, but I think you should focus on adding useful information to complete them. I know it's difficult and sincerely there are some articles on this wiki that are useless (like Daily's apartment) and don't contribute anything to the story. LIGHTNING HAWK (talk) 23:08, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

RE: User Page

Yeah, I just copied and pasted the section down, I just totally zoned out with what I was changing. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 10:41, May 21, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Merit

It's really debatable whether they deserve pages, though technically they still are characters, so it's probably a yes as to keeping them. I'll discuss with Wraiyf, see what he thinks. —MakeShift (talk) 03:26, May 24, 2014 (UTC)

Per my talk page. —MakeShift (talk) 05:38, May 24, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Markovia

I actually totally missed that the first time round, hence why I changed it back, so sorry about that! But the addition of "fictional" was quite irrelevant, as was the content in the behind the scenes, so I'd removed it. —MAKESHIFT (talk) 09:16, June 2, 2014 (UTC)

Understood, but why wasn't the Deathstroke storyline link from the comics relevant? {{SUBST:User:Jiskran/Signature}} 09:18, June 2, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Actor Info

Okay, the ONLY information that would be relevant on the actors on this page is anything to do with the CW, anything else is irrelevant, I believe I said this when I undid a few of your edits on pages early last month. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 13:48, June 3, 2014 (UTC)

That is most likely, as if it has nothing to do with the CW, it will most likely be removed, the only time it would be kept is if it has something in common, for example, Manu Bennet, Katrina Law and Cynthia Addai-Robinson all being actors from the TV Series Spartacus, however that is in trivia. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 13:57, June 3, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Actor info

I just feel like his Stargate role is hardly relevant to Arrow in any way, I don't think there's much need for it to be there is all. Generally it's cool to include other DC stuff, but otherwise I just generally think it's irrelevant and beside the point. —MAKESHIFT (talk) 10:48, June 4, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Joanna

Honestly, the way you had written it made it pointless and messy. Just keep it how it is, it'll stay cleaner and easier to understand. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 12:14, June 10, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Flash

Yes, per the Spoiler Policy, due to the episode not being officially released, any information or images from the Pilot aren't allowed to be added to the wikia until October 7th. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 06:10, June 29, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Spoiler Policy

I think the one that we have at the moment is adequete enough, however people tend not to use it, seeing it's presumed anyone on this wikia is upto date with the series, and therefore are coming to be spoilered. Though I'm considering adding the template to all pages just in case. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 07:35, June 29, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Name

Nope, he hasn't been called anything yet, it was hinted speedy during when Roy had his anger during when Helena came back, Oliver called him Speedy once, but he said he said it to make Roy think of Thea. So at this point in time, Roy doesn't have an alter-ego name. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 02:42, July 1, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Vandal

They have already been block by VSTF. Have been since their edit I believe. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 23:21, July 1, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Names

Steve Aoki is known as Aoki, DJ Aoki, etc. so he's more known for his last name. Rather than Brandon Routh, who's more just know either by his full name, or Brandon. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 07:57, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Seeing Red

That may be, though it makes relative sense as is, and it's preferred to use the official synopsis, hence my reverting. —MAKESHIFT (talk) 13:53, July 25, 2014 (UTC)

I had actually worked on a template a while back for them, though it looked entirely ugly and overall just worsened it. Though, all episodes should have official synopses so unless by some rare occurrence, they're all official. I might come back to the idea of a template at a later date. —MAKESHIFT (talk) 13:59, July 25, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Boys Night

Oops, sorry about reverting that! I was more reverting the quotations around it, as it's not particularly heavy slang. I've changed it back to "guys'" now, though. —MakeShift (talk page) 07:08, August 19, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Article stubs

It seems that random editors have added such categories, none of us admins have. I personally hate the term because it's so iffy, because who's to say if the article's too short? Of course, the article may be completely complete but extremely short. Really, if you see the category and wish to do something, just attempt to add as much content as you can to the article! —MakeShift (talk page) 07:33, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

File naming

When you go about uploading files, make sure you name them suitably. It appears you've been uploading some and prefixing them with "Wikia Arrow", which really isn't necessary. Just use the description, as it's much better. —MakeShift (talk page) 08:50, September 12, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Adding a category

I only have chat mod rights though, no rollback.User:TimeShade/sig 15:56, September 13, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Accuracy vs. consistency

It'd be better with consistency. Just because they've only appeared once doesn't mean a thing, it's a general section in relation to their appearances, so the plural is the go. —MakeShift (talk page) 12:06, September 18, 2014 (UTC)

Hey Jiskran, what differences? Me and TimeShade watched and there were no new scenes. Neptune - Everything's impossible until somebody does it. 03:08, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

These so called "changes" were lame. They got us excited for nothing, most of them are minor at best. Neptune - Everything's impossible until somebody does it. 03:44, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

Which is precisely why I was asking MakeShift if they merited mentioning or not. A

Just stick with everything that was in the aired pilot since unaired content isn't official content.User:TimeShade/sig 03:50, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Unaired vs. aired pilot

I'm a tad confused what you mean by it. If you mean to include information from the pilot that's aired, then of course! That's as per the spoiler policy, obviously. —MakeShift (talk page) 09:58, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

In regards to actual biographical detail, go for the aired pilot. Though in the actual trivia section of the episode, I'd definitely make mention of the numerous differences between the leaked pilot and the aired pilot. —MakeShift (talk page) 11:52, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Metahumans?

Well yeah, considering they're a big part of The Flash, and it's now begun airing. —MakeShift (talk page) 13:12, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Sara's status

For now we'll list her as deceased, the only times we don't list people as deceased, even when they're said to have been, is when we DON'T see them die, seeing in the past, we've had characters said to be dead, but are in fact alive, due to seeing Sara shot with the arrows, we'll go with deceased for now. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 05:04, October 9, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Laurel

doesn't matter, the edit was still quite unnecessary, 1. we don't add that sort of stuff (e.g. The audience saw this etc.) as it isn't professional looking, it looks kind of childish. 2. That's Laurel's page, not Sara's, so therefore it was pointless to add that, as it made it look like Laurel saw who killed her. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 04:03, October 11, 2014 (UTC)

RE: China White

The latter. From what it appears, China White is quite literally just a nickname, it's not as if it's some sort of alter ego, she's just known as China White instead of her actual name (similarly to how Harrison Wells is presumably not his real name, but he's known as that anyway). —MakeShift (talk page) 11:04, October 15, 2014 (UTC)

What do you specifically mean by "tags"? It's late here so my brain is semi asleep.User:TimeShade/sig 07:10, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

oh, don't think we need it, just seems a tad redundant as the characters from the comics should be good enough.User:TimeShade/sig 07:14, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Just an assumption

Sorry for taking so long to reply, I've been pretty busy! Those sort of galleries really serve no benefit to the article generally, so it's really quite silly to include them in that regard. Of course, if you can find a valid reason why they should be included, you're welcome to! —MakeShift (talk page) 11:49, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Categories

Well yes and no, we didn't choose them, a random did, I'll talk to MakeShift and TimeShade tomorrow. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 15:49, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

Yea, he still did it regardless and it's been happening quite often now where an anon vandalizes and undoes the edit.User:TimeShade/sig 10:07, January 4, 2015 (UTC)

Next time if there isnt an admin to roll back, you can always go to the edit history then just edit from the edit before the vandal! Thanks for the geads up though!User:TimeShade/sig 18:26, January 22, 2015 (UTC)

Hey, sorry to bother you but I hope you don't mind me asking why did you delete the sections I put for the plot in Arrow season One episodes, they are a reliable source. TVD&TOFan1997 (talk) 15:30, January 25, 2015 (UTC)

RE: Joseph Falk

Of course, you don't even need to ask! So long as it's an original image and hasn't been modified! —MakeShift (talk page) 05:56, February 2, 2015 (UTC)

Blanking the "Oliver Queen" page

I'm just curious as to why you did it. Was it a mistake or something? I'd assume as such, but I thought I'd ask. Do be careful. —MakeShift (talk page) 08:26, February 4, 2015 (UTC)

RE: Grodd Image

No and No, there's no actual official 1080p episodes, they're just stretched 720p images, and we don't allow edited images on the wiki, even if it is from the episode, all images (Except S1 and S2 as they're on BR) must be 720p. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 10:51, February 4, 2015 (UTC)

RE:Tone of edit explanations

That's how I sound to you. But there are ways different ways to see my words depending on whether you're a glass half empty or glass half full person. If the former, you'll take it as an insult, if the latter, you'd take it as constructive criticism. People in TV show wikias have a tendency to bomb the trivia section with junk, and otherwise necessary information that doesn't belong there. But I'll take your advice to sound less dismissive, unless I really can't think of another word besides junk.Cloudtheavenger (talk) 22:10, February 10, 2015 (UTC) PS Please fix your signature so I can access your page by clicking on it.Cloudtheavenger (talk) 22:42, February 10, 2015 (UTC)

Responds

Hi there, I honestly understand, BUT, the point I was trying to make is, there's still a difference between speaking 'understandable' /Chinese/, and speaking 'perfect' /Chinese/ (/applies to any language I believe/.)

I have no doubt Oliver is capable of comunicating in Chinese, like, he is most definitly able to have an actual conversation with native speakers, but that doesn't mean he's speaking it 100% correctly; Tatsu's English while probably a lot more understandable than other Japanese, one wouldn't mistake her as a native English speaker, yet we all understand her, with the fact she doesn't speak perfect English.

The issue for me is that that certain contributor's reasoning, it just wasn't solid enough to delete the extra information that qulifies as trivia. It was shown in Season 3's flashback, Oliver indeed was not able to pronounce the name (thus simply calling her China White) and Amanda had to correct him. It is totally possible, like what this certain contributor is trying to pitch, that Oliver may actually improved his pronounciation and is able to say it correctly in the present; but that does not wipe out the fact he wasn't able to in the past, hense why it made an okay trivia letting people know how the name came about. Plus, we don't know if he can or cannot at this moment, so I don't understand why the section had to be deleted based on this contributor's assumsions (which might even be false).

(Sorry for multiple editing... with out spelling auto-check.. it's rather embarrassing for me.)

If you have a problem, revert that change and if I disagree, we take it to the talk page. 1. Roy being the first person to ever be cured. Ivo had the cure on him. That could mean some of the Japanese test subjects could have been cured as well. Not to sound rude, but I am doing something called critical thinking. It means to think rationally and clearly. 2. I had a debate with an admin with The Undertaking and they agreed with my edit. That one is none of your business and has been handled properly.Cloudtheavenger (talk) 00:13, February 14, 2015 (UTC)

Carrying the thought to its logical conclusion

That message was incomplete. 3. If you scrolled up on my talk page I checked with an admin if I'm doing anything wrong cleaning up this wikia and he told me if I'm really doing anything wrong, one of the three admins would have notified me. Now I don't know what a wikia star rank holds, but you are not an admin so walk away. You're out of your boundaries at this point. This is a reply to what you put on my wall. Roy being the first person to be cured on screen does not make him the first ever to be cured of the Mirakuru and I believe I asked you to fix your signature. I don't know about your wikia background. But my first wikia I contributed majorly to was really strict on trivia sections, so I learned to not bomb the trivia section with pointless/potentially inaccurate stuff or stuff that belongs in background, personality, or biography sections. For example Tempest trivia I remove stated Robert and Moira Queen were members of Tempest. That was already listed in the list of members and thus it was unnecessary.Cloudtheavenger (talk) 00:25, February 14, 2015 (UTC)

PS If you really have a problem with me, convince an admin I'm doing something wrong and have them handle it from here on in because like I said before, you are out of your boundaries.Cloudtheavenger (talk) 00:26, February 14, 2015 (UTC)
PSS If you could please explain to me how Roy being the first EVER person to be cured is trivia, I'm all ears, please tell me where's the evidence of him being the first person in history of the Arrow universe to be cured.Cloudtheavenger (talk) 00:30, February 14, 2015 (UTC)

Final Response

When I said "walk away" I was referring to this conversation. If you want to contribute to this wikia, great! The more the merrier. As for that second paragraph, I edit my way you edit yours. I am not you, I will not think like you, so your attempts to convince me to change my editing style is how should we say, pointless. Secondly, let me pulled out the definition of trivia from dictionary.com for you. "matters or things that are very unimportant, inconsequential, or nonessential". Now let me give you an example. I added a trivia section on the League of Assassins (group) page that states in some incarnations, they are known as the League of Shadows. That information is pointless to the plot of Arrow/Flash therefore, it belongs in the trivia section. So wikias that use trivia to give a general sense of the character have really crappy/lazy editors that can't put in the effort to make the information flow in a paragraph form in the biography or personality section and decide to just blow up the trivia section with bullet points to make it easier. IE The Vampire Diaries wikia.

As for your signature, can't you just edit it so anyone you talk to can get on your page with a simple click?Cloudtheavenger (talk) 00:43, February 14, 2015 (UTC)

PS If you want to see a wikia that doesn't blow the trivia section but makes an effort to make the information flow in a paragraph form, I recommend the Naruto wikia. That's the wikia I was first majorly involved in and the one I told you is strict on trivia.Cloudtheavenger (talk) 00:46, February 14, 2015 (UTC)

I may well check it out when time permits. A

Trivia

I have already covered the definition of trivia with you thus that is not trivia. You call yourself an English teacher when you don't even know what trivia is? Apart from your obsession with me, why do you keep bugging me?Cloudtheavenger (talk) 21:54, February 20, 2015 (UTC)

RE:Mediation

RE:Plagiarism

They copied the show's wording word for word without citing it. Look up what plagiarism means. I find it strange I have to ask you to look up the meaning of words two times in a row and why are you so obsessed with me? Don't you have anyone else to bug?Cloudtheavenger (talk) 08:49, February 25, 2015 (UTC)

Plagiarism

That's like saying you're writing a scientific paper that takes a previous researcher's work to the next level and not giving credit you're work is derived from that paper and you haven't answered why you're so obsessed with me. PS You seem like you have impulses you can't controlor can't let things go. I used to be like that and let me warn you, if you have these traits in real life, it's not going to end well for you. Arguing with me is pointless and a waste of time. We see things differently and you can't seem to realize that. So unless you're arguing with me on something meaningful, don't ever go on my talk page again because I sill simply ignore you from here on in unless the message is meaningful.Cloudtheavenger (talk) 08:58, February 25, 2015 (UTC)

We're sorry to hear that, we really have no control over what he does.User:TimeShade/sig 21:05, February 25, 2015 (UTC) Actually, as Admins you do. You can, with community support, lay out for him the respectful and collaborative nature of the wiki, with guidelines about the proportion of materials he deletes. If he fails to respect your requests, you are then well within Wikia guidelines to give him a cooling down couple of week suspension from editing. {{SUBST:User:Jiskran/Signature}} 21:33, February 25, 2015 (UTC)

Agreement

I want you to know, I don't have a vendetta against you. It's more along the line our editing style clash. I admit I could have responded to your messages more politely. I hope we can come to an agreement so we can co-exist. We're like Firestorm, if we fight, we'll probably explode and destroy this wikia. If we agree, we'll make it better as a team. *Puts on Techyon Prototype and offers handshake* What do you say? Bygones?.Cloudtheavenger (talk) 08:01, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

If this happens I will let you know so that you don't have to put up with Cloud when you come back. Wraiyf You never know when life will hit you hard, but then you hit it back. 10:17, March 15, 2015 (UTC)

Oh, um, thanks?

Not quite sure why it's your apologies but okay lol

I guess I just didn't see it coming. It was a simple question really, but I always like to fully present my case, explain everything as much as possible at one go; I guess I could have just wrote "Do you consider Asia fairly close to North America?" and leave it at that, but to me it seems a bit out of nowhere, so I elaborated the whole reason behind the question. In the end, I actually still haven't got the answer for that one.

I acknowledge and accept our ways to handle stuff are different, because really, nobody is exactly the same. I never thought it was about styles and I don't get why it was perceived as such; I was just wondering about the accuracy of the content so I voiced the reason why I questioned it.

It's good that s/he did express how s/he thinks it should be done, and now I know it, in the future, I can at least follow the apparent right way to proceed asking questions, if it ever happened again that is.

But anyways. Thanks for the message? xD It did miraculously make me feel a lot better after feeling being epically misunderstood. =P
