For the Earth-19 equivalent of the holiday, see One-One-One Day. Valentine's Day is a holiday in which couples celebrate their love.
History[]
Original multiverse[]
On Earth-1[]
H.R. Wells once decorated S.T.A.R. Labs' speed lab for Valentine's Day, and sent out cards.[1]
On Earth-38[]
When she was 14, Maggie Sawyer wrote a Valentine's Day card expressing her feelings to her friend Elisa Wilkey, asking her to the school dance, which she put in her locker. However, Elisa showed the card to her parents, who then outed Maggie to her parents. Shamed, her father abandoned her and left her at her aunt's house, where she lived for the next three years. Following this, she would have no contact with her parents until adulthood and remained hurt with their decision, developing a disdain for the holiday. When Alex tried to celebrate the holiday with Maggie, she rejected her invitation and revealed the cause as her past trauma before storming out. She later apologized, and the two held a private prom where they kissed and danced.
To thank Lyra Strayd for defending her at Al's Dive Bar when two aliens attacked him, Winn Schott invited her for a dinner on Valentine's Day. He booked a table at Saxon's, an exclusive restaurant, though when he came to pick her up the two kissed and ended up having sex instead of going.[2]
Nia invited Brainy to a Valentine's day party, which was attacked by Pamela. The party was also attended by Kara, Nia's roomate Yvette, J'onn and Alex, who met a woman there.[3]
New multiverse[]
On Earth-Prime[]
A mirror duplicate of Iris West-Allen once attempted to celebrate Valentine's Day with Barry Allen. She made breakfast for him and later took him out for dinner. However, their dinner was interrupted by Amunet Black, who later rekindled her relationship with Keith on the holiday. Allegra Garcia, with the help of Frost, was looking to reunite with a former boyfriend, only to see him flirting with a bartender. In the end, the two decided to simply be friends. Frost was also comforted by Nash when she told him about his fears of being "unlovable".[4]
