"Vigilante" is the seventh episode of the fifth season of Arrow, and the ninety-ninth episode overall. It aired on November 16, 2016.
Synopsis
When the bodies of two criminals are dropped at SCPD, Oliver realizes there is a new Vigilante in Star City. The team is split about whether they should stop someone who is helping keep the city safe. Diggle is frustrated with his new situation and Thea fights for Lance who confesses a shocking secret. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Oliver finally sits down meets with Konstantin Kovar.[1]
Production
Preparation ran from September 1 until September 12, 2016, with a break for Labor Day on September 5. Shooting ran from September 13 until September 22, 2016.[2]
Trivia
- Felicity jokes that Eric Dunn's criminal conviction in 2007 could be "the basis for Making a Murderer season two".
- This is the first full appearance of John Diggle, Jr. as a toddler.
- It is also his first appearance of any kind on Arrow.
- Due to the events of Flashpoint, Sara Diggle was erased from existence; in turn John Diggle, Jr. was born instead.
- This is the first episode of Season 5 in which Anatoly doesn't appear.
