Wally West is the son of Joe West and the younger brother of Iris West-Allen. After being affected by the second particle accelerator explosion inside of S.T.A.R. Labs, Wally becomes the vigilante known as Kid Flash.

In a possible future, Wally became a member of the Teen Titans.

Early life[]

Wally's life is similar to his Earth-1 counterpart's until the Flashpoint (event), to see his life until Flashpoint, see Wally West.

Wally gained his powers months after being affected by the second particle accelerator explosion inside of S.T.A.R. Labs, becoming Kid Flash and Barry Allen's crime-fighting partner.[1]

Life as Kid Flash[]

At some point, Wally joined the Legends, though only because Barry asked him to tell them about Flashpoint.[2]

Possible future[]

In 2968, when Barry Allen visited the Tornado Twins' hideout, he saw some newspaper headlines in English, with one saying: "KID FLASH JOINS TEEN TITANS".[3]

  • Speed Force connection/Meta-human physiology: Wally's powers come from a connection to the Speed Force, gained when struck by dark matter inside of S.T.A.R. Labs.
    • Superhuman speed: Wally is capable of moving at incredible superhuman speeds.
    • Speed talking: Wally is capable of talking at incredible superhuman speeds.

  • Kid Flash suit: Wally wears a protective suit as his alter-ego, Kid Flash, to hide his identity from his enemies, when he goes out fighting crime.

Behind the scenes[]

  • According to Barry Lyga, Wally took up his mentor's mantle of the Flash, following the events of the Anti-Matter Crisis where Barry sacrificed himself.[4] This plot hence follows the original line of comics for the limited edition series Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985-86).
