Behind the scenes[]
- Watchmen is an American superhero drama television series, serving as a continuation of the 1987 DC Comics limited series of the same name created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.
- Watchmen appearing as a billboard on Lucifer's Earth is likely a nod to the fact that billboards advertising Arrowverse/The CW shows are an often occurrence on Lucifer, with The Flash seen advertised in "Lady Parts" and Supergirl seen at least three times in "#TeamLucifer", "Candy Morningstar", and "Everything's Okay". Considering that these TV series turned out to be real on other earths, it might also be a conscious hint at Watchmen being a part of the multiverse, as well.
- Furthermore, Marc Guggenheim explained that billboard was a very conscious easter egg which actually needed approval and cooperation from Watchmen showruner Damon Lindelof.[2]
