"I'm sorry Ava. He was a good man, I think."
Sara Lance on Wilbur Bennett[src]

Wilbur Bennett was the director of the Time Bureau.

Biography[]

After Rip Hunter founded the Time Bureau, Bennett was appointed a director alongside Hunter himself.[1]

Sometime later, Bennett supervised a class learning aboard the Waverider. He dismissed the class, before querying Rip as to why he'd brought the Legends aboard the ship, claiming to have professionals who could sort out their problems.[1]

A short while after that, Director Bennett was contacted by the Waverider's A.I. system Gideon to let him know that the anachronism of Wisconsin, 1870 had been fixed.[2]

Director Bennett sanctioned sending a large number of agents to 1895 London on Rip Hunter's recommendation, after there was an unusual anachronism. However, after the agents were all ultimately killed, Sara Lance allowed Bennett and some agents to come aboard the Waverider and arrest Rip. Rip argued that Bennett couldn't do this as he founded the Bureau but Bennett reminded him that he should know better than anyone that no one was above their laws.[3]

When Agent Sharpe was on mission with the Legends in the year 1000, she called Director Bennett, who believed she should return to the Time Bureau as it was a waste of their resources.[4]

When Rip contacted the Legends about Mallus, Sharpe went to Bennett with his proposal to work together but Bennett refused to work with Rip Hunter and was adamant about taking him into custody. On his way to stop Alexander Hamilton from seeing the musical Hamilton, he was video called by Agent Sharpe with Rip Hunter and Sara Lance. During the call, he was killed by Grodd.[5]
