Konstentyn is one of John Constantine's ancestors. He was the first of his ancestors to harness the power of fear to increase the strength of his dark magic. With that power he could open a portal to Hell and even bring someone back. He sent many different magical creatures to Hell.

Biography[]

During 55 BC, John Constantine and Neron visited Konstentyn and witnessed the true power that he wielded. While Neron tried to persuade Constantine to open a door to Hell, he revealed that Konstentyn was the first to create the rift between humans and magical creatures. When the creature named Puca was intended to be put in Hell, Constantine revealed to his ancestor, telling him that he is distant relative, but Konstentyn believed to be a demon who imitates him. Constantine and Puca were convicted to Hell, but when his ancestor performed the spell to open the portal, John made counterspell to him. John and his ancestor began to fight, ending it by cutting off ancestor's hand. Konstentyn ran away with his soldiers, while John continued to deal with Neron in Palmer's body.[1]
